	<title>Low Carbohydrate Foods</title>
	<description>
There has been recently a slow down in the sales of low carbohydrate foods in the supermarkets and in online shops. One of the reasons that this has happened is that the whole low carb diet craze has cooled a bit and is actually changing. There have been more and more reports that diets such as the Atkins diet are not necessarily the most healthy way to eat. There is a lot more to eating healthy than simply eating low carbohydrate foods.

Low carbohydrate foods that are good for you
There were a lot of nay sayers that doubted the health benefits of the low carbohydrate foods that were said to be ok to eat by the proponents of many of the trendiest low carb diets. And it turns out that many of them had doubts that were very well founded. It is simply not a great way to diet when the low carbohydrate foods that you eat are high in things like saturated fat. There is now more of an emphasis on eating the "good" low carbohydrate foods and that means keeping down the carb level that you take in everyday, while concentrating on a certain type of carb when you do eat them. The good carbs are much better for the body and have vitamins, minerals, and fiber that the body must have for proper functioning.

Many of the packaged low carb foods have also lost their luster for a few reasons. The first one being that the majority of them do not taste good at all. They often have strange and unacceptable flavors and textures. Many people bought them once to try them and never bought them again. another strike against them is the case with any pre-prepared, packaged food product - they are full of preservatives that do not do a body good. And if that were not enough of a deal-breaker, they are also expensive, much more than it would cost for you to make better tasting food at home. This brings us to the final fact that has brought down sales of low carb foods and that is that more and more people are willing to and have learned to make low carb foods at home.
