	<title>Carbohydrate Diet</title>
	<description>
The basic appeal of the low carbohydrate diet in America today
It is a concept that has been around for a few years and has won its share of detractors as well as a legion of fans. Some people out there swear by the low carbohydrate diet they have been on, while others believe that such a plan is but one component of a health-filled future, and not adequate on its own by any means. But the basic concept is that it you cut carbs out of your diet completely or darn near so, your body will turn on the fat cells it has been storing for nutrients. As a result you will quickly slim down.

Now that is pure hogwash in terms of it being all you need to do. A low carbohydrate diet is good in the sense that it can end the intake of white bread and traditional pasta and other things that do more harm than good. But it's not all there is to it.

Do not overdo a carbohydrate diet, as even that requires moderation
You are not going to be doing yourself any favors if you don't sign up for an aerobics class or at least try to walk around out of doors for at least 30 minutes per day. That alone will do a lot more good than a strict low carbohydrate diet. Cutting the carbs can leave you feeling emaciated as well as cause kidney and liver and other digestive problems. If cutting carbs were the only key to living a healthy and thin life, it would have been discovered long ago. Do not kid yourself and try to dodge the work ahead.

Here is the deal with a low carbohydrate diet. It is a great place to begin but it is not a great place to end your quest. You need to watch the carbs you eat. Sure you do. But it is a lot more complex than that and assuming otherwise is just foolhardy.
