Carbs have gotten a bad rap in the last several years. But generally, it's not the carbs you eat that are bad, but rather, the amount. At the end of the day, if you've taken in more calories of any kind than you've burned, you're going to gain weight. And speaking of burning, the Carb Free Cafe has a page explaining how a low carb diet works by burning fat as fuel instead of carbs. That's why exercising when you're on a low carb diet is so much more effective than it is otherwise. The problem with that is that most low carb diets aren't known for giving you loads of energy.
